Description:
Ruby red in colour with purple hues, the nose shows aromas of small berries, cherries, perennial herbs in a spicy guise. In the mouth it is soft and enveloping in a complex and persistent dimension.

Production area:
Foothill area in the Marcellise valley at an altitude of 100m above sea level. Exposure is from north to south on a slight slope. Calcareous soil with little clay and stone - four-yearly organic fertilisation with use of microelements according to deficiency.
Vinification:
A part of the harvested grapes is collected in crates and then placed in plateaux in well-ventilated rooms to sustain a drying period of around 40 days. A second part is harvested in the first ten days of October in the overripe stage and then crushed. After fermentation, the wines obtained are refined in small-capacity oak barrels. The two vinifications are kept separate for about 30 months and then blended and bottled.
Food pairing:
Goes well with well seasoned creams and soups, chicken, soft and slightly sweet cheeses.

16 - 18°C.

The Marion winery is located in the middle of the unspoilt Marcellise Valley, east of Verona. The corporate philosophy of the winery includes the balance between nature and people. The vineyards - mostly raised in the Guyot system - are home to the classic Valpolicella grape varieties, including Rondinella, Corvina and Croatina. In recent years, however, Cabernet Sauvignon and Teroldego have also been planted.
