Description:
Yellow color with greenish reflections. Fruity nose, hints of peach, apricot and pineapple. Aromatic, mineral taste with structured acidity, elegant and very persistent.

Production area:
The vineyards, all cultivated on steep slopes with slopes between 40% and 70% and an ideal southern exposure, grow at an altitude between 550m and 650m above sea level. in Untrum, the southernmost fraction of the Municipality of Velturno as well as one of the sunniest places in the Isarco Valley. The soil is composed of a gravelly diorite rock and is rich in minerals.
Vinification:
The grapes are only harvested when there is a botritis infestation of approx. 15%. Cold maceration with stems for about 3 hours. Gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation at 19 ° C in stainless steel tank. Aging on full lees in stainless steel tank for 4 months and another 9 months on fine lees.
Food pairing:
Ideal with appetizers, fish and shellfish, white meat, excellent as an aperitif.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.

more than 10 years.

The Thomas Dorfmann winery is located in one of the hottest places in the Isarco Valley. It has an area of two hectares of vineyards and is located at an altitude between 550 and 650 m. The 70% steep vineyards are surrounded by natural stone walls. Since Thomas Dorfmann focuses on the typical varieties of the Isarco Valley, his range is mainly white: Sylvaner, Grüner Veltliner, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. But it also grows Pinot Noir - "a rarity in the Isarco Valley".
