Production area:
The grapes for this graceful meditation wine come from a single estate below Tyrol Castle, 550m a.s.l. Light, permeable morainic soils.
Vinification:
Delicate whole-cluster pressing with natural sedimentation. Fermentation and maturation in large oak casks and steel tanks for 12 months. Assemblage, further ageing on the fine lees in steel tanks for 4 years and storage in the bottle for 4 months.
Food pairing:
Brilliantly clear, vivid lemon yellow colour. Rich, very complex and manifold on the nose, notes of citrus fruits and herbs, lightly smoky. Harmonious on the palate, full-bodied, unique, with an endless final.
Serving temperature:
12 - 14°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.

The Winery Merano Burggräfler arose from the merger of two traditional wineries: the Winery Merano and the Winery Burggräfler. A total of 370 members, small and micro producers, cultivate about 250 hectares of the best vineyards in Merano and the surrounding areas Lagundo, Tirolo, Caines, Rifiano, Scena, Marlengo, Cermes, Lana and the Val Venosta Valley. Thanks to their combined strenght the winegrowing in the western part of South Tyrol obtains a new and interesting profile.
