Vinification:
Maceration on the lees for 6 hours. Fermentation in small wooden barrels (225 - 300 l) with subsequent malolactic fermentation. Maturation on fine lees for 10 months follows.
Food pairing:
Thanks to its good structure, this white wine can be paired with culinary delights of all kinds: from fish to pasta and white meat, it always makes a good impression.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.

more than 5 years.

Thomas Pichler knows wine in all of its facets and, in fact, in greater detail than most others. And that is not just because he comes from a family of Caldaro winegrowers and therefore himself grew up with wine cultivation. Rather, it is because he has worked for nearly three decades in different wine laboratories. But since wine under laboratory conditions obviously was not sufficient for him, he also now produces wine himself – at the Thomas Pichler Estate Winery in Caldaro. Over half of the production is made up of Kalterersee and Lagrein, followed by Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
