Description:
delicate green to light yellow in color, this wine is a pleasure to drink with its awesome intensity and broad spectrum of aromas: white peach, apricot, spicy, floral notes of jasmine and sage lend it a spectacular degree of finesse. Delicately structured with nice acidity, it has a racy, mineral finish.

Müller Thurgau - South Tyrol DOC
(Riesling x Madeleine Royal).
Production area:
a high plain in Fennberg (a district of Margreid over 1.000m a.s.l.) with protection from the north wind and a distinct microclimate. Soil: loamy soil - limeston.
Vinification:
after 4 - 6 hours of maceration of the grapes, fermentation at a constant temperature of 20°C; maturation with regular batonnage on the lees in large oak casks for 7 months; 70% fermented and aged in stainless steel on the fine lees for 7 months; 2 months matured in concrete vat tanks and a further year in the bottle.

The Tiefenbrunner family is fully committed to the wine-growing tradition since 1848. Today Christof and his wife Sabine stand behind the name Castel Turmhof winery. Their aim is to blend the traditions of many years with new and innovative developments. Thus, the preservation of the character of the grape varieties, and of the high quality of the grapes themselves, remain the basic principle of the work in the vineyards and the cellars. Altogether 25 hectares of vines are owned and cultivated by the Tiefenbrunner family. They also purchase grapes from surrounding vineyards with a total cultivated area of 40 hectares. The average annual production is 750,000 bottles, of which 70% are white wines and the remainder red.
