Description:
Golden yellow colour with bright orange reflections. Complex and elegant bouquet with notes of citrus fruits, hazelnuts and quinces as well as pleasant herbal notes. Deep and intense flavour, with well balanced minerality and spiciness. Orange wine.
Aromatic wine. This is the varietal Nekaj. Because of its Slovenian roots, the name was chosen in Slovenian "Nekaj", which means "something". It starts with an aroma that immediately captivates the mind and body. On the palate, it offers a honeyed elegance that is balanced by the characteristic bitter notes and fades with the minerality of the terroir.

Friulano - Venezia Giulia IGT.
Production area:
On Monte Calvario (GO), perfectly south-facing, on marly-stony soil. No chemical or synthetic substances are used in the vineyard to preserve the natural harmony and expressiveness.
Vinification:
2 - 3 months maceration on the skins in dull oak barrels. Only the farm's own yeasts are used. Unfiltered wine. Maturation for 36 months in barrels of 20 and 30 hectolitres, then 12 months in bottle.
Food pairing:
Risotto with seafood, pasta with fish and tomato sauce, eggs and savoury pies, smoked fish.
Serving temperature:
12 - 14°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.

In the path of the winemaker it’s important to understand the nature. People are not used anymore to listen to it, but paying attention on her colours, scents and cicles eveything became clearer. The most significant work of the winemaker is connected to the vineyards, because to make a great wine it needs: a great terroir, a great variety and a mature seed. Ponca – our soil. Composed of marl and sandstone is vocated for the fructiculture thanks to her property of withholing water in dry periods and gifting the wine with her minerality.
The variety – is related to the parallels. This territory is the kingdom of Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Friulano.
