The family business Winery Abraham in St. Michael / Eppan was founded by Martin Abraham and Marlies Pohl Abraham with the aim of processing their own grapes into high-quality wines. Martin and Marlies Abraham are winemakers by conviction. They live their passion. They use the knowledge and creative power of their ancestors as the foundation of their actions today. Again and again new areas of tension arise between acting and letting go. This tightrope walk is a daily challenge. When you inhale the scent of rain-soaked earth, you will become aware of the uniqueness and diversity of this terroir. In the west of the vineyards we find dolomite rock, limestone marl, red clay and sand from the debris cone of the Mendel Mountains. In the east, moraine soils from the last ice age are predominant, mixed with volcanic rock made of quartz porphyry with a very high mineral content.
