Description:
The wine has a clear, golden yellow colour. On the nose, cool, precise and nuances of stone fruit. In the mouth, the typical characteristics of the Valle Isarco are immediately apparent: freshness, minerality and an animating saltiness in the finish.
Grape varierty:
Riesling - South Tyrol DOC.
Production area:
A single vineyard site in Felthurns at 850 m above sea level.
The light and permeable soil is composed of a mixture of sand, gravel klausite and weathered slate.
Vinification:
Spontaneous fermentation 60% in stainless steel barrels, 40% in large oak barrels and subsequent ageing for 16 months on the fine lees.
Food pairing:
As an aperitif as well as with starters, shellfish and sushi.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.

In the immediate vicinity of the old customs post from Roman times lies our sunny farm with its vineyards. Around us stretch the picturesque slopes of the Valle Isarco with its traditional wine cultures. It is our concern to revive and enrich our traditional family farm with our own visions for the future. Care and love in dealing with nature are our priority.
The Zöhlhof is run according to organic guidelines and includes a selection of exquisite white wines. The farm is located on a steep slope on the west side of the Eisack Valley in the face of the morning sun, at an altitude of about 600m above sea level.
