Grape varierty: 
Merlot, Cabernet Franc - Red wine

Vinification: 
The grapes are gently pressed. One part is pressed by hand using a basket press, the rest is macerated carbonically and then matured for 6 months in amphora. The wine is fermented on the skins and bottled unfined, unfiltered and without the addition of sulphur.

Food pairing: 
A particularly drinkable and elegant wine that goes well with almost any dish.

Serving temperature: 
10 - 12°C. 

Ageing potential: 
more than 8 years.

In his younger years, Martin Schgraffer worked for 7 years in the former Erste + Neue winery co-operative to finance his subsequent studies in viticulture in Geisenheim. After his studies, he worked at Dönnhof on the Nahe. He gained further experience in Oregon, USA, among other places, before setting up his own business as a garage winegrower in his home town of Salurn.
