Description: 
The Vernatsch Reflexion is meant to reflect Max Widmann's South Tyrolean roots. This autochthonous grape variety has been around in South Tyrol since the 16th century. Unfortunately, the stock has been drastically reduced over the years. Max believes, however, that this grape variety in particular has a future. Its finesse makes it possible to produce wines that perfectly reflect the terroir. You just have to reflect things sometimes to appreciate what you have.

Production area: 
The vines are located in Bolzano - Kampill. Most of the vineyards are still cultivated on the traditional Pergl. This allows the freshness of the grapes to be preserved, as they grow there in partial shade to perfect ripeness. This means a ripe nose with great fruit, as well as crisp tannins and tension on the palate. 

Vinification: 
After the Vernatsch grapes have been crushed, a three-week spontaneous maceration takes place in steel tanks. In the last third of fermentation, the marc cap is pressed down with a sieve to prevent oxidation and gently extract the tannins (cappello sommerso). The wine is then aged for 12 months in tonneaux and a further 6 in stainless steel tanks.

Max Widmann is a winegrower by passion. He learned his profession in the family business, during his studies in St. Michael and Geisenheim, and through various internships. The main motivation to vinify his own vineyards came about during a period spent in France. There he understood how to make a great wine: you have to have faith in your own vineyards and above all in yourself.

Le sue sfumature rosso rubino, e soprattutto gli aromi fruttosi di lamponi,fragole e cigliege con note di mandorla amara, donano compiuta armonia a questo vino. Il gusto è tondo, piacevolmente fresco. In breve, un vino schietto, di spiccata bevibilità.Bottiglia da: 750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.
