L’azienda si trova a un’altezza di circa 1000 metri sul livello del mare, proprio sulle pendici del grande vulcano Etna; si tratta di un’area caratterizzata da un clima soleggiato e da brezze fresche che contribuiscono a creare un’ottima escursione termica per la viticoltura, a cui si aggiunge un terreno caratterizzato da una ricchezza minerale unica, derivante dalle colate laviche ancora oggi frequenti. Nei circa 26 ettari di vigneti disposti lungo il lato nord del vulcano, le viti hanno anche più di 30 anni d’età, e in parte si caratterizzano per essere ancora a piede franco, senza essere state intaccate dalla filossera; si coltivano principalmente nerello mascalese, declinato con diverse espressioni frutto dei differenti cru di provenienza, chardonnay, petit verdot e cesanese d’Affile.
