Producer: Passopisciaro Estate The estate is located at an altitude of around 1,000 metres above sea level, right on the slopes of the great volcano Etna. This is an area characterised by a sunny climate and cool breezes that contribute to an excellent temperature range for viticulture, in addition to a soil characterised by a unique mineral richness resulting from lava flows that are still frequent today. In the approximately 26 hectares of vineyards located along the north side of the volcano, the vines are also more than 30 years old, and some are still characterised by being free-range, unaffected by phylloxera. The vines are mainly cultivated with nerello mascalese, declined with different expressions resulting from the different cru of origin, chardonnay, petit verdot and cesanese d'Affile.
