Description:
Pink colour tending towards bright garnet red as it matures. Characteristic fruity and delicate bouquet. Soft, tasty and harmonious taste.
Bardolino Chiaretto DOC, whose name refers to its very light pink colour, is made from the same grapes as Bardolino, but obtained by vinification as a rosé wine.
Grape variety:
Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, Negrara - Bardolino Chiaretto DOC.
Production area:
Azienda Agricola Raval is located about 2 km outside Bardolino amidst vineyards, olive groves and close to Lake Garda.
Vinification:
Pressing of the healthy grapes, maceration at 18°C for 20 - 24 hours. Separation of the flower must as soon as the typical Chiaretto colour is reached. Controlled fermentation at 16°C with increase of temperature in the last phase to 18°C, followed by first racking. Vinification "in pink", with the must remaining partially in contact with the skins and taking on only a faint colour.
Food pairing:
Goes well with pasta dishes, but especially with light, summer dishes: e.g. caprese salad, ham and melon, rice salad, meat carpaccio. It is excellent with fish and shellfish, but also with the spicy flavours of oriental cuisine and with sushi.
Serving temperature:
8 - 10°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 3 years.

The Raval Winery with its farmhouse is located on the innermost offshoots of the Garda morainic amphitheater among the vineyards and olive groves that characterize the eastern shore of Lake Garda in the heart of the Bardolino Classico area. It is less than 2 km from the town of Bardolino and about 30 from the city of Verona. In a few kilometers you pass from the Mediterranean environment of the lake to the alpine landscape of the Baldo and the Lessini mountains to the art cities of the plain.
