Description:
This mixed set of red and white grapes has a very special flavour. The many varieties give it numerous nuances of fruity and bitter notes in a variety of flavours.

Production area:
The vineyards are located in Afing at an altitude of between 800 and 1100 metres above sea level on loamy and sandy moraine soils. The steep, south-facing vineyards are well ventilated by the alternating updraughts and downdraughts, guaranteeing very good grape quality.
Vinification:
In this mixed set, Pinot Noir grapes are fermented spontaneously together with various white wine grapes in the large amphora. After a long maceration period, they are pressed and then matured in large amphorae before being bottled after around a year.
Food pairing:
It is a very drinkable wine and at the same time a pleasant accompaniment to food, especially savoury dishes.

14 - 16°C.

more than 8 years.

After graduating, my wife Alberta and I bought a very beautiful but somewhat run-down mountain farm, which inspired us both straight away: at an altitude of 1,000 metres, with alpine pastures between 1,400 and 1,800 metres above sea level, with its own forest.
The farm was first mentioned in the mid-13th century. Later, it was known as Widum Baumannhof, which means "creator for the parish priest or provider of land belonging to the church", and its large baking oven was particularly popular.
Our aim was to make the farm viable and self-sufficient through sustainable mountain farming - especially from an energy point of view. But it was also a pilot project with which we wanted to encourage and motivate others to do something similar, because mountain farming is the basis of the beauty and uniqueness of our country.
