Description:
Colore rosso rubino intenso. Profumo ricco e complesso, di ciliegie nere e frutti di bosco in confettura, fiori rossi secchi, pepe nero, cuoio e tabacco. Gusto caldo, morbido e avvolgente, di buona sapidità, equilibrato.

Colore rosso rubino, marcatamente intenso e compatto. Il bouquet che compone il profilo olfattivo si muove su note ampie in cui frutta, fiori e spezie si alternano in un turbinio di sfumature molto avvolgenti. Il palato è corposo, caldo e con una bocca caratterizzata da una fine ed equilibrata vena succosa. Un rosso toscano che riflette il grande legame tra l'azienda, il territorio e il Sangiovese, ricordandone le origini e l'identità.

Salcheto is a winery in the Montepulciano area, in the Sienese hills, which has made the territoriality, eco-sustainability and quality of the wines produced its strengths. It takes its name from a small stream that traces the boundary of the properties and which, in turn, takes its name from the willow trees, "salco" in ancient Tuscan. Under the guidance of Michele Manelli, who personally supervises the work in the vineyard and in the cellar, Salcheto has established itself as one of the leading wineries for certified organic and biodynamic farming. The vineyards extend for 30 hectares on the clayey and tuffaceous soils of the Sienese hills, at an altitude of over 400 meters, in the territories of Montepulciano, Chiusi and the Val d’Orcia.
