Description: 
Cherry red color with a ruby shimmer. Pronounced, fruity (berries), earthy, fine spicy. Full-bodied, well balanced, multy-layerd, very fruity and fresh. 

Grape variety: 
Merlot - South Tyrol Alto Adige DOC 
This wine is made from certified organic grapes from vineyards that are farmed according to biodynamic methods of viticulture (Demeter certification). 

Production area: 
Punggl vineyard owned by the Alois Lageder Winery and situated in Magreid/Magrè at 230 m a.s.l. (750 feet), with sandy, loamy soils with content of limestone. 

Vinification: 
Spontaneous grape mash fermentation, partially on the entire grapes, in large cask and stainless steel, followed by a couple of months in small and large casks. Aging in the bottle for about one year. 

Food pairing: 
It is recommended with veal, lamb, venison and cheeses. 

Serving temperature: 
16 - 18°C. 

Ageing potential: 
more than 15 years.

Founded in 1823, and now directed by Alois Lageder and Alois Clemens Lageder, representing the fifth and sixth generation of family ownership, the estate combines tradition and innovation.
