Grape varierty: 90% Weissburgunder, 5% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Grigio - South Tyrol DOC Pinot Bianco "Strahler" is a cuvée of grapes that has a great tradition in the municipality of Appiano and especially at Stroblhof, but is planted less frequently today.
Production area: Two vineyards located at STROBLHOF, in the SATTEL area in the municipality of S. Michele / Appiano. Sea level: 450 - 520 m. Soils composed of red clay mixed with limestone - and porphyry rock on the one hand, and limestone gravel deposits on the other.
Vinification: Before maceration and pressing, the grapes are cooled in the natural "ice cellar". Twenty days of controlled fermentation and seven months of ageing on the fine lees in 20 Hl oak casks.
Food pairing: This Pinot Blanc is an excellent accompaniment to both light and hearty hors d'oeuvres, but also goes well with fish or white meat.
