Description:
Intense ruby red color. Bouquet with fruity aromas of plum and berries, spicy notes of chocolate, coffee, dried mint, graphite and light smoky hints. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, soft tannins, harmonious and rich with an interesting finish.

Merlot - South Tyrol DOC.
Production area:
Settequerce Terlano, vineyards at 250 - 320 m a.s.l., south facing with a slope up to 10%. Porphyry weathered soil.
Vinification:
Fermentation in wooden casks for 18 - 25 days. Aging for 12 months in barrique and bottle storage for a further 12 months.
Food recommendations:
Roast veal, grilled red meat, venison ragout, dishes with truffles.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 8 years.

Spreading palm trees and hardy conifers share the same piece of land here. Mediterranean southerlies, known as the Ora, compete with dry downslope winds from the north.
