Description: Quintarelli's Bianco Secco is a blend of native and international grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Garganega and Trebbiano. Fresh, versatile and easy-drinking. Fragrant and agile, it is straw yellow in colour with citrus notes of pineapple, peach and apricot. The sip is direct and pleasant with a remarkable persistence. A wine to drink every day, an interpretation of a great producer who also leaves his mark as a white wine maker.
Grape variety: Garganega, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Trebbiano - Veneto IGT
Production area: The vineyards extend in the Valpolicella area, around the company's headquarters, on the eastern side of the Negrar valley, just north of Verona and the course of the Adige river: they are located at about 250 metres above sea level on the first offshoots of the slopes that rise to meet the Dolomites, along the Veneto side of Lake Garda. The locations all offer west-facing exposure and enjoy soils with an essentially calcareous and basaltic composition.
Vinification: Immediately after harvesting, the grapes are crushed and left to macerate on the skins for about 12 hours at low temperature: spontaneous fermentation takes place in thermoregulated steel tanks. Maturation on the fine lees continues for several months in steel, with periodic manual batonnage.
Food pairing: To drink with fish, excellent as an aperitif or refreshing chalice on a hot summer's day.
Serving temperature: 12 - 14°C.
Ageing potential: more than 10 years.
Bottle size: 750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.
Allergens: wine can contain sulphites.
Producer: Quintarelli Winery For years, the name of Giuseppe Quintarelli has been an undisputed guiding light on the Valpolicella stage, representing as only he is capable of the deepest and most true quintessence of a territory that is now rightly recognized as one of the most prestigious of Italian viticulture, able to offer simply extraordinary wines, as others do not meet. In the Negrar valley, in Veneto, in the province of Verona, there are twelve hectares of vines in total, where the most important indigenous varieties of the place meet, such as corvina, corvinone, rondinella and molinara, which each season give rise to an average of about 50 thousand bottles a year.
