Description:
Dark ruby red colour. On the nose multi-layered aromas of ripe plum and cherry jam with spicy notes of chocolate, mint and tobacco, elegant roasted aroma and a surprising freshness. Elegance and structure in harmony on the palate, with subtle, soft tannins and a velvety fullness. Long and convincing finish.

Grape variety:
Merlot - South Tyrol DOC.

Production area:
Settequerce Terlano, Kressfeld vineyard at 280 m a.s.l., south-west facing with a slope of 10%. Porphyry weathered soil.

Vinification:
Fermentation in small barrels (tonneaux) for 25 days. Aging in new oak (barrique) für 18 months, then aging in bottles for further 24 months.

Food recommendations:
Particularly recommended with red meat dishes, as Angus beef fillet, bistecca alla Fiorentina, T-bone steak.

Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.
