Description:
Straw yellow colour, nice thickness. Fresh on the nose with tones of Golden apple and kiwi fruit and hints of aromatic herbs and hawthorn on the finish. Compact on the palate, with excellent savouriness and crispness and an enveloping acid shoulder.

Production area:
On the slopes above Magrè lies the Penon area with its limestone gravel soils. The high-altitude location in a very warm area favours the late ripening of the Pinot Bianco and Müller Thurgau grapes and causes the vines to produce small, concentrated bunches that determine the unmistakable characteristics of the wines.
Vinification:
The grapes are harvested by hand. Afterwards, the must ferments for approx. 3 weeks in steel tanks. The new wine matures for a further 7 months on fine yeasts in 30 hl wooden barrels.
Food pairing:
Stimulating as an aperitif, fruity and light as an accompaniment for light first courses, asparagus dishes, fish dishes and white meats.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.

more than 5 years.

Nals Magreid Winery
From a total of 370 acres of land, 140 winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the Nals Margreid Winery. Ecological awareness and a sense of quality influence their work and lead to the excellent harvests from which remarkable wines arise. The winegrowers’ vineyards of the Winery Nals Margreid extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of the region, allowing to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations. Like the excellent wines produced by it, the winery, modernized in 2011, is an expression of the terroir. Thanks to the joining of historical structures and the high standards of modern wine production, a complex of buildings evolved, that perfectly expresses the qualities.
