Weissburgunder "Künstler" 2023 - 14% Andi Sölva Winery

Description: 
A delicate straw yellow opens the finely structured bouquet of elderflower, apple, grapefruit and peach. Well-structured and long-lasting on the palate, with a bold, savoury note.

Pinot Bianco - Alto Adige DOC 

Production area: 
Riegel Barleit at about 400 metres above sea level. 
Above 400 metres above sea level, the classic white wine zone of Caldaro begins. Here we find limestone gravel soils with a high clay content. The characteristics are the high pH value and nutrient content. This is where the south meets the north. The evening air currents from the 2,000 m high Mendel mountain range bring the necessary cooling on hot days in late summer. 

Vinification: 
23% of the grapes are fermented in contact with the skins in 10-hl oak barrels and barriques and mature on the lees for 10 months. The rest is fermented in large wooden barrels and stays on the lees for 10 months. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is blended about 1 month before bottling.

Matching: 
This Pinot Bianco goes well with light and intense hors d'oeuvres, white meat and fish dishes, but also with vegetables and salads.

The history of the estate begins in 2005, when Andi Sölva collects the legacy of his parents and takes over the reins of the family winery. Always devoted to a strong spirit of independence, in 2007 he began making his own winemaking, driven by the desire to enhance, in his own way, the uniqueness and variety of the lands that embrace Lake Caldaro. A strong passion that leads him to carefully follow each grape in its maturation process, in full respect of nature and its rhythms, without ever neglecting the main objective: quality. In fact, to give life to extraordinary wines, the grapes have always been picked only after reaching the ideal degree of ripeness. 

Andi Sölva's estate is a small structure in which many activities are carried out directly by the owner himself, from the care of the vines to careful manual selection. For this reason the production of bottles is limited.
