Description:
pale yellow color. The nose shows hints of melon, carnation and rose, while the palate is characterised by spicy notes and a gentle sweetness.
Grape variety:
100% South Tyrol Gewuerztraminer.
Production area:
A selection of vineyards with southwest exposure on some of the steepest terraces in the region at altitudes from 300-500 meters. The soil is calciferous loam with gravel. Extreme interplay of sunny days influenced by the Mediterranean climate and cool nights marked by the cold downslope winds from the surrounding mountains.
Vinification:
The grapes for this wine are gently pressed off to steel tanks immediately after harvest. The must ferments at controlled temperature (19°C) without malolactic fermentation.
Matching:
Pairs well with pastries, traditional strudel and cakes.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.
Ageing potential:
3 - 4 years.
