Description:
A pleasantly fresh and fragrant Chardonnay, whose colour shines in a light straw yellow with delicate greenish highlights. Its bouquet is characterised by the fruity, warm and lasting aromas of Golden Delicious apples, which underline its varietal character. Freshness, combined with pronounced fruit and a solid structure, is the basis for a wine capable of evolving, whose taste is still perfect after 2 years.

Production area:
From the vineyards of Mazzon and Egna.

Vinification:
The grapes are lightly crushed, separated from the residue by natural sedimentation. This is followed by fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature. The wine then matures on the fine lees until bottling.

Food pairing:
Starters, first courses and white meats.

Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 3 years.

In 1907, Josef Hofstätter founded a winery in Termeno which has developed today into the largest family estate winery in all of Alto Adige. Areas of cultivation of 50 hectares in the west and the east of the Bassa Atesina, in the south of Trentino and, as the first winegrower from Italy, even to the Saarland in Germany are tended under the direction of Martin Foradori and the J. Hofstätter brand.
Soils, climate, elevation: all of these should be reflected by the wines of J. Hofstätter. They focus on local grapes: Pinot Blanc, Lagrein, Schiava, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir.
