Description:
Wine of the traditional South Tyrolean grape variety "Vernatsch" of ruby red colour, pleasantly elegant on the nose with aromas of violets and almonds paired with the scent of red currants and raspberries, velvety mild and low in tannins on the palate.
Thus, the name "Delia" of the wine so typical for our area of Kalterersee comes from "Delephila elpenor", the vine hawk moth. This moth, which is native to South Tyrol and whose caterpillar prefers to feed on the leaves of the local Vernatsch grape variety, gives its name to the classic Kalterersee wine from the Morandell winery. Delia is a "woman" in the male-dominated world of red wines and draws attention to herself very discreetly with her velvety elegance.
