Description: 
Color: Bright ruby red. Aroma: Fruity (red berries and cherries), floral (violets), marzipan notes. Flavor: Elegant and harmonious body, fresh acidity. 

Until the early 80s, Schiava was predominantly grown in South Tyrol. Other varieties were usually blended with Schiava or, when processed separately, then produced as rosé wines. Lagrein Rosé is a perfect example for this. It makes for an ideal summer wine – fresh and fruity – that pairs perfectly with sushi. 

Grape variety: 
Lagrein. 

Production area: 
Gries (Bolzano) at 250 m a.s.l. (820 ft). 

Vinification: 
Gentle pressing, short maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 

Food pairing: 
Enjoy lightly chilled as an aperitif or pair with cold starters, beef tartar, carpaccio, pasta, white meat or vegetarian dishes. 

Serving temperature: 
12 - 14°C (54 - 57°F). 

Ageing potential: 
more than 5 years.
