Our story begins with grandfather Gualtiero, a farmer from Castelleone di Suasa, a Verdicchio area, who moved to Ancona in the mid-1940s partly for love and partly to seek his fortune. Here, in Via Torresi, in 1948, together with our grandmother Erina and our great-grandfather Agostino, he founded a cantina-steria, a place where people could meet, spend time and drink wine. In 65, Gualtiero and his family moved to Candia, where they planted the first Montepulciano vineyard. Two years later, in 67, Rosso Conero became a DOC wine, one of the first vineyards to be registered as Rosso Conero.
We, Paolo, born in '81, and Eleonora, born in '87, are siblings and like all siblings we have very different characters and personalities, but we have one very important thing in common: our blood. Different and yet the same, because as they say, blood doesn't lie, we are the children of winemakers and grew up with bread, wine and honesty. Each with our own artistic dreams in the drawer, we both graduated in viticulture and oenology and after various experiences abroad, Eleonora in Bordeaux and Paolo in New Zealand and Chile, we feel strongly called to our origins.
