Colour: Ruby-red. Nose: Aroma reminiscent of cassis, liquorice, blackcurrant. Taste: Spicy, substantial, complex.

Grape variety:
Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc - South Tyrol DOC

Production area:
Vineyards in St. Magdalena, Eppan and Kurtatsch (250 to 350 m). Exposure: South/southeast. Soil: Moraine debris and limestone gravel.

Vinification:
Fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in large wood.

Food pairing:
A lovely accompaniment to red meat, grilled meat, partridge and mature cheeses.

Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.

The unique terroir, the respectful dealing with the grapes, and careful processing guarantee unique wines filled with character. In particular, the vineyards in and around Appiano offer the ideal conditions for varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Yellow Muscat, and Pinot Noir.
But for well-structures red wines, outstanding small vineyards are found at lower elevations and along the Wine Route. The mild and sunny climate forms the basis for the unique quality of the wines.
