Lagrein, on of Alto Adige’s indigenous varieties, is typically ruby to garnet red in color, with a evocative scents of violets and blackberries. The taste is full, showing a strong structure.

Production area:
The grapes comes from vineyards with soils of clay, calcareus gravel and sand.
Vinification:
The grapes were de-stemmed and underwent both primary and malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature (28-30 ° C) in steel and cement tanks. The wine was then aged in both cement and oak casks of varying size for at least 6 months.
Food pairing:
This Lagrein pairs well with game, red meats and cheeses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 20°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.
