Description

Description:
Color: Golden, with amber hues. Aroma: Bursting with apricot, pineapple, peach and sugar melon, mango and candied fruit. Flavor: Rich and dense body, showing a smooth creaminess and harmoniously integrated acidity.

Named after the ancient Roman wine feasts, the Moscato Giallo Vinalia is a sweet dessert wine, that pairs perfectly with South Tyrolean apple strudel.

Grape variety:
Moscato Giallo / Goldmuskateller.

Production area:
Warm and sunny sites on the slopes surrounding Bolzano, between 300 and 400m altitude (980-1310 ft).

Vinification:
Grapes are picked selectively and left to dry in small racks, in a dry and well-ventilated place. The dried and raisin-like grapes are then fermented in French oak barrels (barriques), yielding a noble sweet wine. Fermentation comes to a stop at approximately 10%vol, due to the juice’s high sugar content. Afterwards, the wine stays on the lees.

Food pairing:
It makes a perfect dessert for itself, but excels also in company, when paired with pastry, strudel or blue cheese.

Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C (50 - 54°F).

Bottle to:
375 ml - 37,5 cl - 0,375 lt. little bottle

Sugar residual:
more than 250 g/lt. (Depending on the year, the value may vary slightly)

Allergens:
Wine can contain sulphites.

Producer:
Winery Bolzano
The winery is wrapped in a bronze-colored envelope of perforated sheet aluminum scored with veins in a stylized vine leaf pattern. It is visible from afar – the gleaming cube that rises majestically from the hillside: the new hallmark of the city of Bolzano. The architecture, the design is an unequivocal statement of what this place is all about: wine in all its diversity and fascinating facets. Italy’s first ClimateHouse winery. The headquarters for the 224 families that make up the cooperative and home to a unique range of quality wines.
