Description:
The colour is a deep golden yellow with a greenish shimmer. The bouquet is rich, remind of citrusfruits, roses, apricots and vanilla. The taste is sweet, densely and long lasting.
Grape variety:
Moscato Giallo 70%, Gewürztraminer 20% and Petit Manseng 10% - Alto Adige DOC
Production area:
Merano, Tappeiner promenade, Lana on 300 - 500 m. Soil: Light, permeable soil of morainic origin.
Vinification:
The hand-picked grapes are left to dry on straw in small wooden crates for 5 months. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation and maturation on the final yeasts in steel for 12 months.
Food pairing:
Ideal with aperitifs, desserts, mature blue cheeses.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.
Ageing potential:
min. 20 years.

approx. 280 g/lt.

The Winery Merano Burggräfler arose from the merger of two traditional wineries: the Winery Merano and the Winery Burggräfler. A total of 370 members, small and micro producers, cultivate about 250 hectares of the best vineyards in Merano and the surrounding areas Lagundo, Tirolo, Caines, Rifiano, Scena, Marlengo, Cermes, Lana and the Val Venosta Valley. Thanks to their combined strenght the winegrowing in the western part of South Tyrol obtains a new and interesting profile.
