Description: 
Ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Very fine fruity bouquet with hints of wild berries and cherries. Light notes of spice and herbs, with a touch of smoke. 
Elegant on the palate, with an excellent sweetness-acidity ratio, mineral notes with a pleasant spiciness and a juicy, long-lasting finish. 

Grape variety: 
Pinot Noir - Pinot Noir - Alto Adige DOC Riserva 

Production area: 
Pianizza di sopra, 450m above sea level, clay soil, sandy moraine gravel with limestone deposits. 

Vinification: 
Cold maceration for 5 days at 2 - 4°C followed by spontaneous fermentation in an open vat with maceration twice a day for 3 - 4 weeks. 
After malolactic fermentation, sedimentation in stainless steel tanks followed by maturation in Tonneau. (30% new wood, 70% second-third passage) for 14 months. 

Food pairing: 
This wine is an excellent accompaniment to game, lamb, rabbit and hard cheese. 

Serving temperature: 
14 - 16°C. 

Ageing potential: 
more than 10 years.

750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.

The brothers Markus and Thomas Puff are responsible for the wine production at the impressively 700 year-old Pitznerhof in Cardano at the entrance to the Valle Isarco. Their farmhouse lies at an elevation of precisely 350 meters, but the three hectares of grape growing areas are on steep slopes with deep, sandy weathered porphyry soils. “We attempt to integrate the local conditions and the microclimate into the production process in the best possible way". And in the winery, there is also the underlying principle of working with the grapes gently. Thus the overall picture comes together of production that is close to nature along the entire chain. “We try to fulfill our responsibility by stressing nature as little as possible".
