Description:
Intense in color with dark ruby red reflections. On the nose, aromas of dark berries such as blackberries, currants and blueberries. Soft on the palate, well balanced with an aromatic finish of undergrowth and spices.

Grape varierty:
50% Piedirosso (locally called Per e Palummo) and 50% Aglianico 50% -Costa d'Amalfi DOC

Production area:
Furore and neighboring towns. Coastal terraces at 200/550 meters above sea level facing south. The soil consists of dolomite limestone.

Vinification:
The hand-picked grapes arrive intact in the cellar. After destemming and pressing, the must is macerated for 30 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and 12 months of processing in new French oak barrels. This is followed by bottle storage for approx. 1 year.

Food Pairing:
Pasta with meat sauce, mushroom risotto, steamed red meat, game, roasted and grilled meat and aged cheese.

Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
