Description

Description: 
Shiny rose quartz, fine fragrance of peach, marzipan, strawberries and raspberries. On the palate pink grapefruit, marzipan, wild strawberries, rhubarb. Very fine tannins. An elegant wine, very full of character, which will delight even the non-rosé lover. 

Grape variety: 
Pinot Noir - South Tyrol IGT 

Production area: 
Cermes / Merano 

Vinification: 
The best Pinot Noir grapes are used for this very special rosé. The ripe berries are only lightly pressed and the light-coloured juice is fermented very cool and without any skins. Vinification: very gentle, reductive processing of the grapes, chilled fermentation in steel tanks, then stored in large oak barrels for around 7 months.

Food pairing: 
Pairs as an aperitif, with spicy starters, carpaccio, fish tartare or with vegan crunchy vegetable noodles with fine peanut sauce and lots of fresh herbs. 

Serving temperature: 
10 - 12°C. 

Ageing potential: 
more than 5 years.

The grapevines of the Kränzelhof grow on loose moraine soils and are tended especially gently. Thus artificial fertilizers and herbicides are avoided, while field and meadow flowers between the rows of grapevines provide sustainable life in the vineyard. In addition, we reduce the yields per hectare that are allowed by removing leaves in arduous work by hand, trimming shoots, and cutting away grapes.
