Description
Description:
The wine has a deep, dark garnet red color, fruity notes of liquorice, leather, cherry and bitter chocolate. The tannines are well bound, it tastes salty, soft and has a long finish.

Lagrein - South Tyrol DOC
Production area:
Merano, Vinschgau (Val Venosta) 350 - 550 m.
Vinification:
Alcoholic fermentation in controlled temperature and mash agitation for about 10 days. Biological acid degradation and later maturation in used barriques and rather in small oak wood tanks for 16 months.
Food pairing:
Ideal with savoury starters, smoked fish and white meat; also excellent with game, red meat and hard cheeses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 8 years.

750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.
Allergens:
wine can contain sulphites.

The Winery Merano Burggräfler arose from the merger of two traditional wineries: the Winery Merano and the Winery Burggräfler. A total of 370 members, small and micro producers, cultivate about 250 hectares of the best vineyards in Merano and the surrounding areas Lagundo, Tirolo, Caines, Rifiano, Scena, Marlengo, Cermes, Lana and the Val Venosta Valley. Thanks to their combined strenght the winegrowing in the western part of South Tyrol obtains a new and interesting profile.
