Description:
A wine that is fun to drink. Made from selected Vernatsch grapes, it captivates with its elegant, fruity bouquet. A typical wine of Lake Caldaro. Born here in South Tyrol, like the pike (Hecht). Light, bright ruby red. Elegant and fruity bouquet of red berries. Typical with mineral spice on the finish and fine fullness.

Grape variety:
Schiava (Vernatsch) in its different varieties - Alto Adige DOC

Production area:
Barleit 400 m a.s.l. on clay soil and limestone gravel.

Vinification:
After a short maceration at controlled, cool fermentation temperature in steel tanks, final fermentation at 18°C. Malolactic fermentation and ageing in steel tanks.

Food pairing:
A classic South Tyrolean red wine, this wine is suitable for almost any occasion, but is best served with speck, sausage and cheese, summer starters and even fish dishes. Slightly cool, it is an ideal wine for warm days in company.

Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.
