Description:
The Kalterersee Classico Superiore "per sé" convinces with a fresh ruby red color and with an elegant and fruity bouquet of black cherry, violet, white pepper and a hint of bitter chocolate. Delicate tannins and a fresh structure amaze the palate accompanied by its lightness and ease of drinking and a spicy and savory finish. An innovative and convincing interpretation of Kalterersee between tradition and momentum - a wine that "speaks for itself"!.

Grape variety:
Vernatsch/Schiava - South Tyrol Alto Adige DOC

Production area:
Vineyards around Lake Kaltern/Caldaro with sandy soils with sediments from the interglacial period. A very vocated and traditional area for the Vernatsch wine.

Vinification:
Fermentation takes place on the skins for 7 days at a maximum temperature of 27° C. Maturation takes place in stainless steel barrels and in Slavonian / French oak barrels (80 hl). The wine is ready to drink in the spring of the following year.

Food pairing:
Ideal accompaniment, due to its flexibility, to classic dishes of South Tyrolean cuisine and many other dishes, appetizers, pasta with light seasonings, white meats, Mediterranean cuisine.

Serving temperature:
13 - 15°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.
