Description:
Intense ruby red colour with good density. On the nose maraschino cherry, with juniper at the forefront and undertones of spice and undergrowth. Superbly delicate on the palate, very fresh and elegant, juicy with a beautifully persistent finish.

Production area:
The vines are located in Gries, on the outskirts of Bolzano, at 250 metres above sea level. The sandy alluvial soils, situated within the heat-retaining Bolzano basin, are marked by porphyry.
Vinification:
The GRIES Lagrein Riserva grapes are harvested by hand. After being carefully destemmed, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle pumping over. The wine is then aged in barriques for 12 months and in the bottle for a further year.
Food pairing:
With its fruity finish, it is the perfect partner for lamb, game and red, grilled meats.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.

more than 10 years.

From a total of 370 acres of land, 140 winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the Nals Margreid Winery. Ecological awareness and a sense of quality influence their work and lead to the excellent harvests from which remarkable wines arise. The winegrowers’ vineyards of the Winery Nals Margreid extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of the region, allowing to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations. Like the excellent wines produced by it, the winery, modernized in 2011, is an expression of the terroir. Thanks to the joining of historical structures and the high standards of modern wine production, a complex of buildings evolved, that perfectly expresses the qualities.
