Description:
Intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. It expresses itself with remarkable intensity of aromas, from green pepper to small berries. The taste is full, warm, slightly herbaceous when young, becoming very rounded with age and with an extremely long intense aromatic persistence. Coming from the oldest vineyards of Carmenère, this wine is the very quintessence of its growing area, thanks to its innate ability to evolve over the years.

San Leonardo Locality - Borghetto A/Adige - Avio (TN).
Vinification:
Spontaneous 15/18 day fermentation in small concrete vats with periodic pumpovers and délestage.
Maturation: 24 months in new once-, twice- and third-used French oak barrels.
Food pairing:
Red meats, noble poultry, roasts, braised meats, stews, game and mature cheeses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 20 years.
