Description:
Villa Gresti is a red wine of excellent elegance, made mainly from Merlot grapes and aged for 12 months in barriques. The nose evokes red fruit with toasted hints of tobacco and cocoa. The palate reveals balance, tension and softness, with velvety tannins on the finish.
Grape variety:
90% Merlot, 10% Carmenère - Trentino IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti
Production area:
San Leonardo locality - Borghetto A/Adige - Avio (TN).
Vinification:
Spontaneous fermentation in small cement vats for about 15/18 days with several daily pump-overs and délestage. Maturation for 12 months in French oak barriques of first passage.
Food pairing:
Ideal with red meats, noble poultry, roasts, braised meats, stews, game and mature cheeses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.
