Description:
Developing ruby red colour, with excellent density. Red berries on the nose, currants and strawberries at the forefront, with undertones of fresh pepper. Dense on the palate, elegant, fantastically juicy with flavourful tannins and a hint of spiciness.

Production area:
The vineyards are situated in the area surrounding Magrè, at the foot of a gentle slope, at an altitude of between 220 and 350 metres with a southern/south-eastern exposure. The white chalky gravel soils contain well-ventilated humus.
Vinification:
The grapes for the ANTICUS cuvée are harvested by hand. After being carefully destemmed, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle pumping over. The wine is then aged in barriques for 18 months and in the bottle for a further year.

A great, sophisticated wine and a perfect choice with traditional and modern full-flavored dishes.

From a total of 370 acres of land, 140 winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the Nals Margreid Winery. Ecological awareness and a sense of quality influence their work and lead to the excellent harvests from which remarkable wines arise. The winegrowers’ vineyards of the Winery Nals Margreid extend from Nals, a little town between Bozen and Meran (Merano), all the way to Margreid in the sunny, southern reaches of the region, allowing to exploit a remarkable variety of terroirs and locations. Like the excellent wines produced by it, the winery, modernized in 2011, is an expression of the terroir. Thanks to the joining of historical structures and the high standards of modern wine production, a complex of buildings evolved, that perfectly expresses the qualities.
