Description: 
Animating, fruity bouquet, develops rich, consistent aromas on the palate, noble, expressive and harmonious, beautiful length in the finish. 

This local variety has been cultivated in Castelbello for over 200 years. It is characterised by an incomparable aroma, but has many problems in cultivation: late frost, juice stagnation and alternance and thus very irregular yields. It reaches its highest quality on the shady side of the valley at altitudes between 600 and 800 m. a. s. l. It must be harvested overripe from the tree and, pitted by hand, immediately put into the mash barrel. The high production costs justify the price of this unique distillate.

The farm has had its own distillery since 1992, in which fine grappas are produced. Fruits for specialty spirits all thrive on the farm. This is particularly important to us because it allows us to guarantee the consumer the origin of our products. We also grow apricots, plums, pears, apples and grapes, and we have rediscovered the apricot tradition of Val Venosta.
