Description:
On the nose, the clear structure is immediately recognisable. Notes of flint paired with fresh lemongrass make the basic characteristics of the wine immediately recognisable. The defined tannin structure in combination with fine minerality give the wine a finesse-rich body. On the palate, the wine stands out above all for its juiciness and pithiness. Sea salt notes in the finish encourage further drinking.

Production area:
A single vineyard site in Felthurns at 600 m above sea level.
The light and permeable soil is composed of a mixture of sand, gravel klausite and weathered slate.
Vinification:
It is mainly matured in large wooden barrels.
Food pairing:
Spontaneous fermentation 100% in 8 hl oak barrels and subsequent ageing for 16 months on the fine lees.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.

Around us stretch the picturesque slopes of the Valle Isarco with its traditional wine cultures. The Zöhlhof is run according to organic guidelines and includes a selection of exquisite white wines. The farm is located on a steep slope on the west side of the Eisack Valley in the face of the morning sun, at an altitude of about 600m above sea level.
