Description:

Production area:
The Pinot Blanc grapes come from the two growing areas of Oberplanitzing (445 metres above sea level) and Eppan Berg (500 metres above sea level). The majority of the vines are between 10 and 25 years old, grow on slopes and are trained using the Guyot system. The winds and the alternation of cool nights and warm days particularly favour the vineyards. The chalky, gravelly clay soils in these two vineyards give the wine its unique character
Vinification:
The grapes are harvested by hand. After gentle pressing, the lees of the must are clarified by natural sedimentation. Fermentation then takes place at a controlled temperature, 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in barrique barrels. The two wines are aged for 8 months on the fine lees and a further 6 months in the bottle.

We are a winery in Eppan on the Wine Road in South Tyrol, the home of excellent wines. Just a stone's throw from the Dolomites and with the provincial capital of Bolzano within sight, we produce wines based on tradition and conviction. In our generation-spanning business, the grape is showcased in all its facets.
Our vineyards are located in Eppan Berg and in Kaltern on gentle to steep slopes at an altitude of between 290 metres and almost 700 metres. Each vineyard and each hill has its own special features. Eppan Berg is ideal for growing Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer. In Kaltern, our Merlot, Pinot Noir and Ruländer feel very much at home. We are proud of our top locations and recognise the uniqueness of each grape. The interplay of grape varieties and sites makes our hearts beat faster and creates expressive wines.
