Description:
Our Vernatsch grows on old pergola vines. It is elegant with a medium-bodied structure, beautiful freshness and fruity tannins. On the nose we find the typical almond notes.

Vernatsch (Schiava) - South Tyrol DOC.
Production area:
For this wine, we choose 100% Vernatsch grapes, which grow in our vineyards at an altitude of 450 - 480 metres. The vines are 40 years old and are trained using the pergola system. Our Vernatsch is grown on a well-ventilated steep slope with sandy moraine soils.
Vinification:
The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation then takes place in wooden barrels and the wine matures for 10 months in tonneau barrels.
Food recommendations:
It is a good accompaniment to food.
Serving temperature:
12 - 14°C.
Ageing potential:
3 - 5 years.

We are a winery in Eppan on the Wine Road in South Tyrol, the home of excellent wines. Just a stone's throw from the Dolomites and with the provincial capital of Bolzano within sight, we produce wines based on tradition and conviction. In our generation-spanning business, the grape is showcased in all its facets.
Our vineyards are located in Eppan Berg and in Kaltern on gentle to steep slopes at an altitude of between 290 metres and almost 700 metres. Each vineyard and each hill has its own special features. Eppan Berg is ideal for growing Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer. In Kaltern, our Merlot, Pinot Noir and Ruländer feel very much at home. We are proud of our top locations and recognise the uniqueness of each grape. The interplay of grape varieties and sites makes our hearts beat faster and creates expressive wines.
