Description:
Dark garnet red colour. Notes of cherries, blackberries, cocoa, leather and tobacco. Intense and powerful, well structured with soft, integrated tannins, long, elegant finish.
Grape variety:
Lagrein - South Tyrol DOC Alto Adige.
Production area:
Location: Cermes. Altitude: 380 metres above sea level. South-southeast slope. Terrain: Moraine deposits.
Vinification:
Manual harvesting in small containers, fermentation in temperature-controlled masses, fermentation in must to intensify typical aromas, long ageing and maturation in small wooden barrels.
Food recommendations:
Steamed, roasted and grilled dishes, pasta, risotto, cooked ham, soft, semi-hard and soft cheeses.
Serving temperature:
18 - 20°C.
Ageing potential:
more than 5 years.

Mauslocherhof is a self-contained farm that operates according to the principle of sustainability and in harmony with nature. We embrace both tradition and modernity because we view them as complementing each other to create great results. In our vineyards we cultivate traditional Alto Adige grape varietals. Red varietals: Lagrein, Merlot, Pinot Noir. White varietals: Gewürztraminer, Goldmuskateller, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc. We rely on the modern vinification methods in order to process the grapes gently and with care. This way we sustain and enhance the quality gained in the vineyard, thanks to hard work.
