Description:
Color: Deep garnet red with purple hints. Aroma: Ripe black cherries, lovely notes of vanilla and cocoa, humus and earthy notes. Flavor: Intense and well balanced with velvety, elegant tannin.
Lagrein is a typical South Tyrolean variety, which thrives on the plains of the Bolzano valley, and its surroundings, benefitting from the strong temperature differences between day and night. Only carefully selected grapes from the best vineyards are used to produce our Prestige line. It offers an intense and vivid ruby red color, superb aromas on the nose and a well-balanced, lingering mouthful of velvety smoothness.

Production area:
Warm and sandy porphyry soils in Gries (Bolzano).
Vinification:
Traditionally fermented on the skins in big oak casks, followed by twelve months of maturation and fining in French barriques, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. Further maturation in the bottle.
Food pairing:
Perfect when paired with wild game, red meats, smoked beef or zesty cheeses.
Serving temperature:
16 - 18°C (61 - 64°F).
Ageing potential:
more than 10 years.
