Descripiton:
The Moscato Rosa from Cantina San Michele-Appiano has a light ruby red colour with slight orange reflections and inviting, complex aromas of muscat, candied fruit, dried figs and a hint of rose petals. On the palate, the wine impresses with its delicate spiciness, elegant structure, stimulating interplay between sweetness and acidity, and fresh, juicy finish.

Production area:
Location Stockhammerhof in Leitach. South-southeast exposure. The soil consists of moraine debris and limestone gravel.

Vinification:
Manual selection of grapes and bunches. Fermentation in open wooden barrels. Ageing in steel.

Food pairing:
Linz cake.

Serving temperature:
8 - 10°C.

Ageing potential:
more than 6 years.

In particular, the vineyards in and around Appiano offer the ideal conditions for varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Yellow Muscat, and Pinot Noir.
But for well-structures red wines, outstanding small vineyards are found at lower elevations and along the Wine Route. The mild and sunny climate forms the basis for the unique quality of the wines.
