Description:
Aged in steel for 7 months. Bright straw yellow. The aromatic assortment is varied and consists of a succession of herbs, flint and iodine. On the palate it is tasty, tangy, dry, with a certain spiciness and freshness. The finish is complex, harmonious and very long.

Production area:
The Jankara winery is located in the north-east of Sardinia, in the hills of Alta Gallura, an area characterised by beautiful granite mountains. The granite soils guarantee ideal drainage and provide the complex minerality in the wine.
The area is highly influenced by an excellent microclimate created by Lake Liscia and the Limbara mountain. The Jankara property is situated between the two mountains at about 300 metres above sea level.
Vinification:
100% stainless steel at controlled temperature, ageing in stainless steel until mid-March, then in bottle.
Food Pairing:
Crustaceans, mussels and Mediterranean cuisine in general.
Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.

Jankara was founded in 2006, the year Renato and Angela Spanu acquired 8 hectares of pristine land in the prestigious "Vena di San Leonardo" in the hills of Alta Gallura. In 2008, they planted the first 4 hectares exclusively with Vermentino grapes. In 2013, they were joined by Angelo and Denise Elia, two long-time friends, owners of the renowned restaurant "Casa D'Angelo" in Florida. A collaboration that brings Jankara to a new, ambitious level. A deep passion for Sardinia, and in particular for its Gallura region, has led Renato and his wife Angela to realise their dream of producing a wine of excellent quality and making the beauty and richness of the mountains and granite soil of Gallura known throughout the world.
After many sacrifices and hard work, Renato and Angela, with the help of their new partners Angelo and Denise, have created "Jankara", a true expression of their love for wine and the ancient region of Gallura.
