Description

Description: 
Intense ruby red colour. Bouquet with notes of red fruits, with hints of liquorice, marasca cherry and tobacco. Elegant and soft on the palate, with an exceptional structure, silky texture and sweet tannins, very long finish. 

Grape variety: 
Corvina 55%, Rondinella 30%, Cabernet Sauvignon 15% - Veneto IGT. 

Production area: 
Vallata di Negrar, in the Veneto region, in the province of Verona, a total of twelve hectares are planted with vines featuring the main autochthonous grape varieties of the area, such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. 

Vinification: 
The grapes of these three varieties are carefully selected by the Quintarelli staff already during the harvest. Once they arrive in the cellars, they undergo a 20-day maceration and a 45-day fermentation. Then comes the ageing phase, during which the wine rests in large oak barrels for seven years. 

Food pairing: 
Pairs well with mature cheeses, game, braised red meats, roasts and grilled meats. 

Serving temperature: 
16 - 18°C. 

Ageing potential: 
more than 10 years. 

Bottle size: 
750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.

For years, the name of Giuseppe Quintarelli has been an undisputed guiding light on the Valpolicella stage, representing as only he is capable of the deepest and most true quintessence of a territory that is now rightly recognized as one of the most prestigious of Italian viticulture, able to offer simply extraordinary wines, as others do not meet. In the Negrar valley, in Veneto, in the province of Verona, there are twelve hectares of vines in total, where the most important indigenous varieties of the place meet, such as corvina, corvinone, rondinella and molinara, which each season give rise to an average of about 50 thousand bottles a year.
